Arvor has revealed the third, and biggest, new model in its Diesel model range, the Arvor 810 D. The latest model in the range has the same tried and tested hull and engine as the 25 model it replaces but everything above the water is new.
With the 810 Diesel designed specifically for the keen angler it is not surprising that most of the improvements have been made in the deck area. The most notable changes are the addition of a flipdown rear seat, live bait well and raw washdown facility. Improvements have also been made to the bait preparation station. The cockpit also comes standard with LED lighting that not only gives the boat a much more modern look and feel but also makes it a great platform for night fishing.
But it is not just the cockpit that has been given a more modern feel. The cabin layout and design has also been modernized. The cabin is also bigger and has more seating than its predecessor – an area where it copped some criticism. The Arvor 810 D has seating for the skipper and his offside as well as additional seating for other crew members. With glass windows on all four sides the skipper has 360deg views which will make getting in out pens a lot easier. It also creates a light and airy cabin, which is also helped by the sliding glass windows and roof hatch.
The cabin also has a galley with fresh water, built-in cutting board and LPG stove making weekends away a lot more comfortable and convenient. The dining table, which has seating for four, also drops down to make a very comfortable double bed. Like the deck area, the cabin has LED lighting while teak floor accents add comfort and style.
The one thing that current Arvor owners will find familiar is the 4.2-litre Mercruiser diesel engine that powers the new model. Like in its predecessor, it will produce 220hp and give it a top speed somewhere in the vicinity of 25knots. It will also make it one of the most economical 7.5m boats on the water.
The new model will be available at the end of the month and while pricing still has yet to be set it will be somewhere between $140 and $150,000.
