Aston Martin designs and builds some of the sexiest looking cars in the world today. Now the British luxury car marker has joined forces with Quintessence Yachts to build boats.
At a special event at its Gaydon headquarters in the UK it revealed renderings of the first boat to be produced by the partnership, the Aston Martin AM37.
While giving very few details away, Aston Martin has assured us that the AM37 will be luxurious and fast in the best tradition of British sports cars.
It said the AM37 would merge the sense of excitement you feel behind the wheel of an Aston Martin with the classy environment of a one-of-a-kind speedboat to deliver the best experience available in terms of fun, handling and comfort.
The company charged with making this a reality is Dutch boat maker Quintessence Yachts which has been given the licence to build the boat. It has partnered with Mulder Design to create the 37 foot (11.3m) speed boat.

According to Quintessence, the AM37 S will be capable of a top speed of 60 knots (just over 110km/h), while the AM37 will be pitched as more of a “gran turismo” leisure boat with an even higher degree of luxury. Top speed for the AM37 will be 50 knots (92km/h).
The Aston Martin-branded boats will be produced by Quintessence at a facility in the UK, and will be constructed from both carbon fibre and composite materials.
They will be equipped with interactive voice control and activation, a fully HD-integrated touchscreen with navigation and multimedia system and remote controlled functions to create a true one-of-a-kind boat.
They will be revealed in the flesh to the media and prospective buyers later this year.
No pricing has yet been mentioned in relation to the Aston Martin AM37.
