Hot on the heels of its 2014 launch, Bayliner’s Element XL has won another prestigious award with Best of Boats awarding the industry-leading Element XL the 2014 Best Boat for Beginners award. This award illustrates just what the Bayliner Element Series patent-pending M-hull™ was been designed to do. Make it easier than ever for beginning boaters, families, lapsed boaters and even pros take to the water with a safe, steady ride that delivers thrill with low maintenance.

Over 100 international owners and representatives of boat manufacturers, importers and distributors gathered to recognize finalists at a Nov. 27 ceremony in Berlin. Bayliner’s Element XL is one of five winners across four categories.

“We’re beyond thrilled the Element XL has been awarded Best of Boat’s Best Boat for Beginners award,” said Bayliner Boats President Keith Yunger. “This international recognition is illustrative of the Element XL’s impact as a breakthrough model for beginning boaters, families and old hands alike. With awards across the series, it’s no stretch to say momentum for the Element Series is building at a fast rate and putting more and more families on the water.”

The Element XL was up against some tough competition: Journalists tested 165 boat models from 18 countries to select models that exemplify the ideal boating experience in four categories: Best Boat for Beginners (Bayliner Element XL, USA), Best Boat for Family (Bavaria Sport 360 Coupe, Germany), Best Boat for Fun (Yamarin Cross 75 Bow Rider, Finland), Best Boat for Nature (Torqeedo Deep Blue 80, Germany, and Designboats Tender 06 Oe, Switzerland).

“Another award for the Element Series, and the second for the Element XL, means the boating community celebrates design that prioritizes accessibility, safety and family use,” said Keith Yunger. “But more than that, it means Bayliner is succeeding in creating new passions and new memories for those who now feel empowered to enjoy the water.”

The Bayliner Element XL’s intuitive design, familiar and easy handling, and class-leading stability and safety features embrace first time and family boaters. At 18 feet and seating for eight, the Element XL has delivers all the thrills you would expect and sets a new standard in safety and stability courtesy of the deep freeboard and Bayliner’s patent-pending M-Hull™ design.
