If you’re always looking for that next adventure, the Garmin inReach SE+ and inReach Explorer+ handheld satellite communicators will keep you connected. They are perfect for land based trips such as fly fishing through to extended offshore adventures.

Both units offer 100% global coverage via the Iridium satellite network plus the inReach units can send and receive text messages with any mobile phone number, email address or another inReach device. This means users can be outside of mobile/radio range and maintain contact with loved ones.

The inReach SE+ and inReach Explorer+ also have an interactive SOS, which triggers an emergency response from GEOS, the 24/7 search and rescue monitoring centre. After the SOS is received, inReach users are then able to communicate back and forth with GEOS about the nature of the emergency, and receive confirmation when help is on the way.

All the units have been designed to withstand the harsh Australian elements with a rugged construction. The inReach devices are impact resistant and have an IPX7 water rating which means it is protected against heavy rain and splashing. It is also safe for durations immersed in water and is tested to a max of 1/2 hour in water less than a metre.

The inReach Explorer+ adds more navigation options like preloaded DeLorme topographic maps, built-in digital compass, barometric altimeter and accelerometer to help you maintain accurate bearings anywhere on or off the beaten track.
