As part of their 2019 product line-up, Malibu have announced the release of an all new Aussie ski specific model, the Malibu Response TXR.

It’s an unusual move for a U.S brand company to divert resources to another market, but such is the confidence they have in the Australian team, the Response TXR has been entirely designed, engineered and manufactured right here. It combines all the hallmarks of the Malibu brand with the performance, handling and fit and finish Australians have come to expect of Malibu Boats. The new design also has additional storage, space and contemporary helm design features.

“The TXR retains the much-loved hull and performance of the LXR and introduces contemporary new features that will be sure to impress skiing families across Australia” said six-time Australian Men’s Slalom Champion and Malibu Boats Operations Manager, Simon Hill who has been with the company for decades.

“Whether you like your wakes flat for slalom skiing or clean and rampy for boarding, the Response TXR has it all covered. From novice to experienced skiers and wakeboarders, there are no limits behind the Response TXR.”

Simon added “It’s a cross-over boat the whole family will enjoy. The TXR turns on a dime and the plush interior including ‘wall to wall’ carpet, ensures a luxurious, quiet ride.”

Malibu Response TXRAny ski boat or wakeboarding boat can end up carrying a football team of friends so stowing of gear and accessories is crucial and a key feature of the Response TXR. Behind the observer seat there is room for competition sized slalom skis, as well as in the open side pockets, a standard inclusion in every TXR model.  Elsewhere, there is plenty of room for vests, ropes and other accessories in the rear ski-locker, easily reached through the ever popular bat-winged split lid.

Access to the water level by drivers, observers and passengers has never been better.  A new windscreen design and open side storage pockets makes it easier than ever for those in the boat to reach those in the water.

An exciting addition to this Australian engineered model is the optional rear walk-over console, providing easy entry and exit to the boat. This optional feature helps protect upholstery from wear and tear and features a flip down centre hatch revealing additional storage and two cup holders.

The traditional helm area has also had a makeover, designed to maximise driver and observer comfort. In the ‘office’ is a fully digital LCD dash display and fingertip operation plus cruise control as standard. The shifter panel has been redesigned with improved ergonomics for greater throttle control and comfort. And for those who need it, factory fitted zero off is available.
