Riviera have long been responsible for designing some exquisite Sports Motor Yachts and they have been busy, introducing the 39 at the recent Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

The 39 Sports Motor Yacht features multiple entertaining spaces, including a light and spacious saloon, open cockpit and extended flybridge that embody the Riviera Sports Motor Yachts design.

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said the 39 Sports Motor Yacht provides a compelling new entree to the Riviera family.

“She is a brilliant example of Riviera’s evolution and constant refinement across our five collections,” he said.

A fixed swim platform provides access to  the transom door. The cockpit is an open space for entertaining and water sports activities. Owners can set a barbeque across the transom to maximise space.

In the cockpit there is a teak table and a lounge set under the awning window to port offering alfresco dining. Optional fold-out seating is recessed into the coaming on both port and starboard sides.

The foredeck features an optional large sunlounge with integrated folding backrests and drink holders.

The flybridge comes complete with deep and wide teak treads for safety. A stair-ladder on the starboard side of the cockpit connects this space with the innovative and extended flybridge above. Up here a twin helm-and-companion seat forward faces a sports wheel. There is a comprehensive array of engine controls including Volvo Penta IPS joystick and navigation displays behind a Perspex windscreen.

Guests can relax on a cushioned L-shape lounge aft of the helm seat. A sturdy GRP rail wraps around the entire aft section providing both safety for guests and a mounting point for radar and communications units.

Sun protection to the flybridge is provided by a bimini top.

Downstairs a fully-equipped aft galley is located on the starboard side. There is a raised dining area opposite which offers views through the wrap-around windows, windscreen and aft through a stainless steel framed glass bulkhead door and awning window.

The lower helm consists of a helm and companion seat, leather steering wheel, engine controls and nav displays. A raised lounge opposite the helm provides sweeping views forward. The lift-up television, radio and CD sound system with iPod interface are all positioned forward.

Onboard there is accommodation for five adults across two staterooms. The master is located forward and includes a large walk-around double bed, a wardrobe and overhead lockers and shelving. Hull windows on both sides provide natural light.

It has ensuite access to the bathroom immediately aft. There is space for a vanity toilet and separate shower stall with a frameless glass door. The bathroom can be utilised as the master ensuite and as the day head.

The second stateroom opens up to reveal a light-filled space with twin beds athwartships to starboard and a single bed set along the port side. The twin beds can be converted with an infill into a large double bed. Natural light is provided by generous hull windows, equipped on both sides with opening portholes.
