The Riviera name is synonymous with luxury, innovation and performance. Unrivalled in Australia with its 38 year motor yacht building history, Riviera has just introduced at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show, the newest member of their luxury sports motor yacht collection, the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht.

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said the 39 Sports Motor Yacht provides a compelling addition to the Riviera family.

“She is a brilliant example of Riviera’s evolution and constant refinement across our five collections,” Rodney stated from the Boat Show.

The Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht holds all of the luxury and innovative design trimmings that have come to be expected from the Riviera brand. The cockpit is an open, spacious entertainer’s delight. With a fixed swim platform that leads through a transom door to the cockpit, you are greeted with a stunning teak table and lounge, offering a stunning alfresco dining area. A barbecue unit is set across the transom, facing forward and accessed from the swim platform.

For those keen to soak up some rays, the foredeck can be fitted with an optional large sunlounge with integrated folding backrests and drink holders.

A hydraulic lift hatch provides access to the engine room but day to day access is via a smaller hatch, aft of the saloon door.

On the starboard side of the cockpit, you will find a connection to the extended flybridge.

The twin helm-and-companion seat keeps you steady behind the sports wheel. Engine controls include a Volvo Penta IPS joystick and fitted navigation displays. A cushioned L-shape lounge aft of the helm seat will see your guests get comfy, while a superbly crafted rail surrounds the rear section of the flybridge, providing a plush backrest to the wide lounge, privacy screening and an anchor-point for navigational equipment.

The saloon of the 39 Sports Motor Yacht provides a fully-equipped aft galley on the starboard side with a dining area opposite. Panoramic views can be enjoyed from the wrap-around windows, windscreen and aft, through a stainless steel framed glass bulkhead door and awning window.

The 39 Sports Motor Yacht has been fitted using American white oak timber panelling and cabinetry, matched with elegantly coloured Sunbrella fabrics. There is an entertainment unit, with lift-up television, radio and CD sound system with iPod interface, positioned forward.

Five adults sleep on the lower deck between two staterooms. The master stateroom screams luxury, including a queen-size walk-around double bed, a wardrobe on the port side aft quarter as well as overhead lockers and shelving. Natural light drenches the space with windows on both sides. Ensuite access to the bathroom is immediately aft, including a vanity toilet and separate shower stall with a frameless glass door.

A midship stateroom holds twin beds and a single bed set along the port side. The twin beds can be converted with an infill into a large double bed. A wardrobe offers hanging space at the entry and further space is available under the twin beds. Large hull windows mean natural light spills into the room.

Power for the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht is provided by twin Volvo Penta D6 IPS 600 turbo diesel engines, with 320kW/435hp each and IPS pod-drives and joystick control.
