Just nine months after launching its new flagship 6000 sport yacht, Riviera has added another layout option to the range.

And it is a move that Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst believes will further enhance the popularity of boat that has already struck a chord with Australian buyers.

Since the launch of the $2m plus sport yacht last August, Riviera has sold eight 6000 Sport Yachts.

Mr Longhurst said the new Presidential model, with its bigger, full-beam master stateroom was further evidence of Riviera’s commitment to cater to a wide range of boating pursuits and individual styles.

He said the master stateroom, with additional storage and a new casual dining and sitting area, created an even more expansive and luxurious private retreat for owners

“This is complemented by a superior level of comfort and opulence in the master bathroom that our global family of owners have come to expect from Riviera,” he said.

The master stateroom includes a generous dining and sitting area to port which is ideal for a private breakfast, with plenty of natural light streaming in through large hull windows on both sides of the yacht.

It also features the 6000’s signature king-sized walk-around bed amidships, as well as a substantial walk-in wardrobe aft, and large lounge to starboard.

The master ensuite is fitted out with Milli Glance and Grohe fixtures, Italian ceramics and even a heated towel rail.

Mr Longhurst said the Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht, in either of its design layouts, is supremely comfortable with clever alfresco lifestyle design, ultramodern technology and palatial appointments.

“The 6000 has a level of attention to every detail from bow to stern that confirms she is indeed a world-class Riviera,” he said.

The 6000 sport yacht, shares It combines Riviera’s blue-water performance with a sports-styled helm, luxurious accommodation, three bathrooms and dual electric sliding sunroofs and fixed skylights which allows the owners to entertain in style and comfort in all weather conditions.

Like the 5800 SY it supersedes, it also comes with a garage big enough to house a 3.2m tender and outboard and still have room for accessories and water toys.

The 6000’s luxurious aft galley,  the centre of the social scene,  features high-end Miele appliances and Vitrifrigo drawer refrigeration, while a tinted bronze glass finish to the overhead galley cabinets adds yet another touch of refinement to the satin walnut varnish joinery used throughout the yacht.

It is powered by twin Volvo Penta 725hp engines with pod drives, which, in conjunction with the keel added to the 6000 design, make it very manoeuvrable at low speed.

On the open water it has a top speed of around  31 knots under full load and has an approximate cruising range of 268nm at 26 knots.

The next opportunity to step aboard and inspect the impressive new 6000 Sport Yacht will be at the Riviera Festival of Boating to be held at its Coomera production facility on the Gold Coast (21-24 May 2015), which is this year being staged in conjunction with the Gold Coast International Marine Expo – a showcase of all things aquatic featuring everything from super yachts to jet skis to kayaks and everything in between.
