Designed for trolling motor installation, the PS22-TR is the latest addition to the Garmin Panoptix™ product line. This line now includes six transducers with installation options for freshwater, estuary, inshore and offshore fishing applications.

Incorporating LiveVü Forward and LiveVü Down all-seeing sonar technology, the PS22-TR offers a narrow 20-degree beam angle delivering sharp, improved resolution and clear images of what’s all around and below the boat while moving or stationary.

When paired with a compatible Garmin GPSMAP or echoMAP CHIRP head unit, Panoptix delivers allows anglers to watch the movement of fish and their reactions up to 30m away. This offers the chance to really see what the fish are doing well away from the boat and allows you to cast lures with more accuracy.

The PS22-TR is ideal for freshwater, estuary and inshore anglers targeting bass, barra and bream in the snags, and species such as jewfish, snapper and kingfish on shallow reefs. It enables anglers to see real-time sonar imagery at video-like speed. They can also choose to view forward or down. Thanks to its mount design, it’s easy to change configurations between the two. By providing both views you can set up the PS22-TR to suit how you want to fish or to match the species you are targeting.

This image is active meaning that LiveVü Forward will show images of fish swimming and their direction ahead of the boat. This is unlike traditional scanning sonar that offers only historical imagery. This live view allows you to fish more accurately than ever before. When using LiveVü Down, you will be able to target schools of fish more accurately when jigging or bait fishing beneath the boat.

The Garmin Panoptix PS22-TR is compatible with the echoMAP CHIRP 75sv and 95sv, the GPSMAP 752xs/952xs and 1022xsv/1222xsv series, and GPSMAP 8400 and7400xsv series. Mounting hardware is included to install the PS22-TR on the shaft or barrel of a trolling motor.
